According to the official announcement, Multicoin Capital has announced that Spencer Applebaum and Shayon Sengupta have been promoted to General Partners and will jointly serve as the heads of Multicoin Capital's venture capital business.
Over the past few years, both have taken on more responsibilities at all levels of the business. They have not only continued to identify, initiate, and lead investment projects with greater frequency, but have also gradually taken on greater leadership in Multicoin's strategy, operations, and long-term development direction. Spencer and Shayon both joined the fund early on—having worked at the company for over eight years and five years, respectively.
